Frequently Asked Questions

  • C-Suite Studio helps leaders, founders and expert-led organisations make their authority easier to understand and trust. We work across executive positioning, LinkedIn presence, leadership narrative, thought leadership, reputation communication, ESG storytelling, annual reports and stakeholder messaging.

  • We solve the gap between real substance and how that substance is being read by others. A founder may have a strong business, but the market does not understand it quickly enough. A senior leader may have board-level experience, but their public profile does not show it. An organisation may be doing meaningful ESG or impact work, but the story sounds vague, scattered or underdeveloped.

About C-Suite Studio

  • Most branding agencies focus on visual identity, campaigns, reach or content output. We focus on positioning, judgement, credibility and communication that can hold up in serious settings. We care less about making something look busy and more about helping the right people understand why you should be trusted.

  • A ghostwriter may help you publish posts. We look at the wider picture: your role, reputation, business context, audience, risks, opportunities, LinkedIn profile, public narrative and long-term positioning. Writing may be part of the work, but it is not the whole offer.

  • We are not a traditional PR agency. We do not focus mainly on media relations or press coverage. We help shape the underlying narrative, positioning and communication assets that make leaders and organisations more credible in public, digital and stakeholder-facing environments.

  • No. We are based in South Africa and understand the local market, but the work can support leaders, founders and organisations operating locally, across Africa or internationally.

  • Our best-fit clients are serious about how they are understood. They include founders preparing for growth, senior leaders moving into board or advisory roles, experts who need their work better understood and organisations facing higher expectations from clients, funders, partners or stakeholders.

  • We can, and have, but they are not the main focus of C-Suite Studio. Our work is best suited to people who already have experience, expertise or responsibility behind them and now need their public narrative to catch up.

Who We Work With

  • Yes. Founders are a strong fit, especially when the founder’s credibility affects sales, partnerships, funding, hiring or market confidence. We help align the founder story, company narrative and public presence.

  • Yes. We work with individual leaders and with organisations. Organisational work may include company narrative alignment, ESG and impact storytelling, annual reports, stakeholder communication, reputation audits and leadership profile alignment.

  • Yes. We help experts translate complex work into a clearer public narrative without making it simplistic. This is useful for consulting, funding, media, speaking, institutional recognition and public engagement.

  • Yes. We can work with boards, executive teams and leadership groups where communication, positioning or stakeholder confidence needs to be strengthened.

  • Founder and company positioning helps align the founder’s public voice with the company’s story. It is useful when a founder-led business needs clients, investors, partners or senior hires to understand the business faster and trust it sooner.

  • Executive and board positioning helps senior leaders present their experience in a way that reflects board-level judgement, leadership value and future direction. It is useful for executives moving into NED, advisory, board, portfolio or broader leadership roles.

  • Expert positioning helps specialists, academics, consultants and technical professionals explain what they know, why it matters and who it helps. It is useful when expertise is strong but under-recognised or difficult for others to understand.

  • Reputation and risk communication looks at how leadership, organisations or public-facing messages may be misunderstood, under-explained or misaligned. The aim is to identify weak points before they affect trust, stakeholder confidence or opportunity.

Services and Fit

  • ESG narrative support helps organisations explain environmental, social, governance or impact work in a credible way. It is especially useful for SMEs, family businesses and organisations that need to communicate with clients, funders, auditors, partners or stakeholders.

  • AI Voice Recovery is for leaders, founders and experts whose content has started to sound generic because of over-reliance on AI or templated writing. We help recover a more natural, recognisable voice and apply it to your public-facing content.

  • Media and Podcast Readiness helps leaders, founders and experts prepare for interviews, panels, podcasts or public speaking opportunities. We help shape the message, likely questions, key examples and follow-up content.

  • This is a review of how your website, LinkedIn profiles, leadership bios and company messaging work together. We identify where the story feels inconsistent, unclear or weaker than the actual business behind it.

  • Yes, but we do not treat LinkedIn as a content treadmill. LinkedIn work must connect to positioning, trust and a clear point of view. We can support profiles, content strategy, ghostwriting, post development and executive visibility retainers.

  • Yes. We support the narrative side of annual reports, impact reports, ESG reports and stakeholder documents. This can include structure, messaging, drafting, editing and making complex information easier to understand.

Process

  • We usually start with a conversation or audit. We need to understand the context, the audience, the current public presence, the opportunity or risk and what needs to change. From there, we recommend the right service or scope.

  • Yes, some services can be packaged clearly, such as LinkedIn positioning, founder credibility work, board-readiness positioning, AI Voice Recovery and specific audits. Larger work such as annual reports, ESG narrative or reputation-sensitive communication is scoped based on need.

  • Yes. Many clients start with a once-off project or diagnostic. This can lead to a larger piece of work or an ongoing retainer if there is a good fit.

  • Yes. Retainers are best suited to senior leaders, founders or organisations that need ongoing positioning, thought leadership, executive voice or reputation communication support.

  • Yes. Good positioning work depends on context and judgement. We usually work from interviews, source material, existing profiles, documents, recordings or draft notes.

  • Yes. We often work alongside internal teams. We can help sharpen leadership narrative, support executive voice, improve stakeholder-facing communication or provide external perspective on positioning and reputation risks.

  • It depends on the scope. A focused LinkedIn or profile project may take one to three weeks. A diagnostic audit may take two to four weeks. Larger narrative, ESG or reporting work can take several weeks or months depending on complexity, stakeholder input and approvals. A lot also depends on receiving requested material timely.

Reputation, ESG and Risk

  • Consider an audit when your public message feels unclear, when stakeholder expectations are increasing or when you suspect your website, profiles, statements or reports may not be giving people a strong enough reason to trust you.

  • We help with crisis-readiness messaging, holding statements, response principles and communication preparation. For live crisis handling, legal or specialist PR support may also be needed depending on the situation.

  • Yes. That is often the best time to do the work. We can help identify likely questions, sensitive issues, weak messaging and the language needed if pressure increases.

  • Yes. ESG and impact communication should be honest, specific and evidence-based. We help organisations explain what they are doing without exaggeration or vague claims.

  • Yes. We help leaders and organisations communicate responsibly when they need to explain a decision, issue, position or commitment in public.

Working Relationship

  • We need access to the right content. That usually includes a conversation, current LinkedIn profiles, website links, existing communication material and any relevant background documents. For organisational work, we may also need input from key stakeholders.

  • That is the aim. We do not want clients to sound manufactured. We work to make the voice sharper, more focused and more credible while keeping it recognisable.

  • We use AI tools to support research, structure or workflow, but the judgement, positioning and final writing are human-led. AI cannot replace context, discretion or understanding of consequence.

  • Yes. We treat client material, interviews and strategy discussions as confidential. Public case studies are only shared with permission or anonymised where appropriate.

  • Yes. Most projects include revision rounds. The number depends on the service and scope agreed at the start.

  • A poor fit is someone looking only for fast content, inflated claims, vanity visibility or a profile that exaggerates their experience. We work best with people and organisations that have substance behind them and want to communicate it more effectively.
