Thought leadership often gets treated as a sprint. A leader has a point of view, a conference slot appears, the organisation needs a response to a public issue, and suddenly there is a rush of opinion pieces, podcast pitches and posts. The burst can create attention, yet it rarely creates authority that lasts.
